As an IT trainer you will plan, coordinate, and train all of staff's educational needs as they relate to information systems and workflow. Description of Primary Responsibilities and Duties

1) Functions as the primary point of contact for information systems training needs.

a) Develops, delivers, and/or facilitates onboarding training for technology applications for all new Grace Health providers, employees, students/residents, and contract employees.
b) Leads in person and virtual training for providers, clinical staff, and other users for information systems and related workflow.
c) Develops training materials and scenarios for use in classroom, virtual, electronic and hybrid delivery methods.
d) Follows up on new employees after initial orientation to ensure continued proficiency and competency of staff in the use of information systems.
e) Evaluates current understanding of information systems, identify additional information users may need, and provide education to ensure competency of users on the use of information systems.

2) Achieves and maintains a high level of proficiency with information systems used for business at Grace Health.
a) Utilizes knowledge and skills to assist in the education, implementation, and support of information systems.
b) Participates in project work and implementation of information systems.

3) Provides user support for information systems.
a) Identifies continuing educational needs and designs workflow-based training content.
b) Monitors charting compliance and audits quality analysis of charting practices.
c) Creates and maintains end user resources.
d) Makes recommendations for end user workflow improvements for information systems.
e) Rounds regularly to users to evaluate, monitor, and provide at the elbow support.

Professional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1) Possesses advanced work-related skills beyond completion of high school, including written and verbal communications skills, computational and computer skills, mathematical, technical or health care related knowledge frequently acquired through completion of an associate degree or licensed skilled trade program in information technology or related technical field, para-profession, or practical business knowledge.
2) Demonstrates extensive understanding of information systems as well as good understanding of clinic operations and procedures.
3) Must know all aspects of the trade as it is performed in the organization, sufficient to effectively train or instruct others, and to serve as a resource to employees.
4) Possesses and maintains advanced knowledge for information systems and educational styles for adult learners.


Technical Skills


1) Demonstrates high level of proficiency with Grace Health information systems, including the electronic medical record system and associated applications in use.
2) Demonstrates high level of proficiency with applications used for creating and presenting materials for in person and electronic training delivery.
