Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our education team. Nurse will collaborate with management to coordinate staff education and drive quality improvement initiatives. This position is Monday through Friday with no weekend or holiday shifts!

$1,000 Sign-on bonus ($500 after successful completion of your probationary period and $500 after 6 months).

1) Performance monitoring and feedback.
a) Collaborates with management to assess and address clinical support staff performance.
b) Conducts regular observations and reviews of clinical support staff, including:
i) Chart audits.
ii) Vaccine error log assessments.
iii) Quality measures and provider scorecard analysis.
iv) Collection and analysis of provider and patient feedback.
v) Participation in workgroups focused on clinical improvement.
vi) Oversight of CLIA compliance and task completion.
c) Participates in clinical support staff annual calibrations.

2) Quality improvement and staff education.
a) Stays updated on current quality measures and ensures staff compliance.
b) Participates in quality improvement initiatives, including workgroups, meetings, and presentations.
c) Contributes to the development of clinical policies, procedures, and protocols.


3) Educational program development.
a) Creates and implements training activities and programs for clinical support staff, including:
i) Mock codes and crash cart education.
ii) Individualized education and skill reinforcement for support staff.
iii) Education on CLIA standards, new products, and validation of skills.
b) Collaborates with clinical preceptors to ensure they demonstrate proficiency and competence in their skills, as well as seeking feedback regarding the performance and progress of the staff they are training.


4) Candidate selection and interview participation.
a) Reviews resumes to assess candidates for appropriate skills, experience, and fit.
b) Participate in interviews and provides feedback.
c) Completes and submits evaluation forms following interview.


5) Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) training.
a) Provides initial/recertification training in CPR and BLS for employees.
b) Facilitates hands-on practice and evaluation to ensure competency in life-saving techniques.


6) Tuberculosis skin testing certification (TST)
a) Conducts certified training and education on TB skin testing, including:
i) Methods of TB transmission and pathogenesis.
ii) Differences between TB infection and TB disease.
iii) Evaluation and identification of TB cases.
iv) High-risk target group identification for testing.
v) Correct administration, reading, and interpretation of the Mantoux Tuberculin Skin Test.
vi) Appropriate management steps for patients with positive TB test results.

2) Possesses knowledge and training in the field of nursing, typically acquired through a formal associate degree in nursing.

4) Maintains current knowledge of standards of care and practices, typically acquired through continuing medical education.

Licenses & Certifications

1) Current Registered Nurse license in the state of Michigan.
2) Current Basic Life Support certification.

1) Demonstrates necessary proficiency with the electronic medical record system in use at Grace Health.

Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Visual and auditory acuity. Ability to read and communicate both verbally and in writing. Capable of standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 20 pounds. Capacity to sustain repetitive motion, such as typing. Able to handle high levels of stress.
